The OBDSTAR M029 is the IMMO cable for Yamaha jet skis. On the vehicle side, it features the yellow 2-pin connector that connects to the diagnostic port of the jet ski; the other end connects to the IMMO input of your OBDSTAR programmer.
Yamaha uses a 2-pin diagnostic connection on these watercraft that does not fit standard diagnostic ports. The cable converts that connector format to what OBDSTAR programmers expect, allowing the equipment to communicate with the immobiliser module. No data processing occurs within the cable itself: signal transmission is passive. The cable is designed for immobiliser work, not general engine diagnostics. Which IMMO functions you can perform depends on the software version and licence level of your own device.

Applications and functionality
Via the 2-pin connection, you access the immobiliser section of the personal watercraft.
Control units you can reach
- Immobiliser module: The unit in which key data and security PIN code are stored.
- Associated components: When replacing the ECU or lock component, module initialisation may also be required.
What you can do
- Read key code: Retrieve stored key codes from the immobiliser module via the 2-pin connection.
- Add key: Add a new key to the IMMO system, using existing key data as reference.
- Initialise immobiliser: Reset the module, for example after replacing the ECU or a lock component.
- Read PIN code: Read the security PIN code from the IMMO system, which is required for certain key procedures.
- Note: Which of these procedures are available depends on your OBDSTAR programmer's software and licence.
