The OBDSTAR M071 is an adapter cable that converts a Tohatsu 6-pin diagnostic port to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. The cable is intended for use on Tohatsu brand motorboat engines and enables the factory diagnostic port of these engines to be connected to OBDSTAR diagnostic devices or programmers. The cable is exclusively compatible with OBDSTAR diagnostic devices or programmers.

The adapter cable connects the 6-pin engine-specific connector on one side with an OBD2 plug on the other side, allowing the diagnostic software of the connected OBDSTAR device to communicate directly with the electronic engine systems of the Tohatsu outboard motor. Through this connection, diagnostic functions such as reading fault codes and consulting engine system data can be performed. The housings of both connectors are mechanically coded to prevent incorrect connection.
