The OBDSTAR TCM-021 adapter cable is designed to establish a direct connection with ZF transmission control units. This cable features a specific 16-pin TCM connector on the mechatronics side and a 15-pin DB15 connection on the hardware side. It enables automatic transmissions of the 6HP type to be connected to OBDSTAR diagnostic devices or programmers for bench diagnostics and data manipulation outside the vehicle.
Within a diagnostic setup, the adapter facilitates stable signal transfer between the transmission control unit and the interface. The wiring configuration is precisely matched to the pin-out of the ZF 6HP series (including the 6HP19, 6HP21, 6HP26, 6HP28, and 6HP32), ensuring correct transmission of CAN-bus communication and power lines. This allows safe reading and writing of module data, provided the cable is combined with the required Converter V2.
