The OBDSTAR TCM-011 adapter cable is specifically designed for direct connection to the Getrag VGS2-FCVT transmission control unit (TCM) in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. This cable bridges the specific 6-pin TCM connector on the gearbox and the 15-pin DB15 connector of your diagnostic equipment, enabling the module to be connected on the workbench for advanced diagnostic and programming tasks.

Through this connection, the adapter guarantees stable transfer of CAN-bus signals and the required power supply for safely accessing the transmission module. The cable's pinout is precisely calibrated to the architecture of the VGS2-FCVT unit, preventing incorrect connections and ensuring reliable and safe communication during flashing or cloning of the TCM software outside the vehicle.

The adapter cable is designed for use with specific Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the Getrag VGS2-FCVT (722.8) continuously variable transmission. Note: using this cable always requires OBDSTAR bench programmers.

Good to know: Check beforehand that the pins of the VGS2-FCVT module are clean and oil-free before connecting the plug. Dirt or corrosion can cause voltage loss or communication errors during the programming procedure.
