The OBDSTAR TCM-003 connects the 16-pin TCM connector on the Temic DL501 (0B5) on the vehicle side to a 15-pin DB15 connector on the device side. The cable connects directly to the transmission control unit, which is mounted directly on the transmission.

The DL501 is the seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox fitted to various Audi Quattro models from the Volkswagen Group. With this cable, OBDSTAR software gains direct access to the memory contents of the control unit, bypassing the standard OBD2 port. The cable construction follows the pinout of the DL501 TCM connector, so no additional adapters are required. The cable makes the unit accessible; reading and reprogramming are functions of your own programmer. It is important to distinguish by gearbox type: the same model series also features the ZF 8HP automatic, which this cable does not support. The model list below specifies the production years and engine options for each model.

What you can do

Read TCM data: Retrieve current software and calibration data from the DL501 S-tronic via the direct 16-pin connection.
Reprogram TCM: Write new software data or calibrations back, for example after unit replacement or for software corrections.
