The OBDSTARTCM-002A connects the 20-pin Temic TCM connector for the DQ250at the vehicle end with a15-pin DB15 connectorat the device end. The round 20-pin connector connects directly to the transmission control module socket, which is located in or near the transmission housing.
\nThe DQ250 (02E/0D9/CXX) is the wet six-speed DSG transmission fitted in the Volkswagen This group platform was applied in both petrol and diesel versions. This cable operates outside the standard OBD2 port to: once connected to the factory connector, signal transmission occurs for the reading out or reprogramming TCM data. Direct access to the transmission control module in the vehicle is a prerequisite for this. The cable establishes the connection; the operations are performed by your software programmer.
