The OBDSTAR T008 is a 15-pin DB15 adapter cable specially designed for connecting an external diagnostic interface after the drive module of the ABS system on vehicles with the Mercedes-Benz 204 chassis. The cable acts as an OBD-T connection (tee cable) and allows simultaneous connection of the OBDSTAR test platform and an additional diagnostic tool to the vehicle system. The connector features a DB15 connector on the vehicle side and two OBD2 J1962 connectors on the equipment side.
The T008 adapter cable functions as a passive splitter cable that splits the signal from the vehicle diagnostic port to two outputs, allowing a third device direct access to the ABS module of the 204 chassis after powering the module via the test platform. This is necessary because the ABS module on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 and related models is accessible via its own 15-pin diagnostic interface which is not normally accessible through the regular OBD2 port. The cable is used exclusively in combination with OBDSTAR readers or programmers and does not operate independently.
