The OBDSTAR T006 is an adapter cable specifically developed for testing the gear shift module in Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles. The cable features a 15-pin DB15 connector on the device side and splits on the vehicle side into a 12-pin and a 22-pin GSM connector, matching the wiring of the gear shift module. The cable is intended exclusively for use with OBDSTAR readers or programmers from the test platform series.
Via the T006 adapter cable, the gear shift module is directly connected to the OBDSTAR test platform, allowing lift and shift tests of the gear shift module to be performed. The split cable structure connects to the two separate connectors of the module, so the test system can read and control all relevant signals from the gear shift. The connection bypasses the vehicle network, enabling direct module tests without involving the CAN network.

Applications and functionalities
The OBDSTAR T006 Adapter Cable supports the following functions when used in combination with OBDSTAR test platform series equipment on Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles.
- Gear shift module lift test: The cable connects the shift module to the test platform, after which the system electrically controls the lift function of the shift and reads the module's response.
- Gear shift module switching test: Through the connection, the switching signals of the shift module are tested, with the test platform checking the correct signal response when changing driving modes.
- Direct module connection: The split connector connects to the 12-pin and 22-pin GSM ports of the gear shift module, enabling communication with the test platform outside the standard vehicle diagnostic port.
