The OBDSTAR N026 is a conversion adapter that converts a SYM 3-pin diagnostic connector to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) port. The adapter is intended for use with OBDSTAR readers or programmers and enables vehicle diagnostics on SYM mopeds that do not have a built-in OBD2 port. The housing is compact and fits directly onto the vehicle-side 3-pin connector.

The Adapter translates the SYM 3-pin brand-specific connector to the standardized OBD2 format, allowing the OBDSTAR diagnostic device to communicate with the vehicle’s engine management unit. Signals over the K-line or other communication protocols common in this vehicle category are passed through via the connected diagnostic equipment. The pin assignment of the SYM connector is correctly wired through to the corresponding pins of the OBD2 plug, without any active electronics in the adapter itself.
