\nThe OBDSTAR M054 is the adapter cable for the 12-pin and 18-pin diagnostic connectors for Suzuki and Yamaha motorcycles. Both manufacturer-specific connectors are fitted on the vehicle side; the opposite end features standard connectors 16-pin OBD2 (J1962)-connector for your diagnostic device of programmer.\n
\nThe cable provides a physical bridging between the vehicle connection point and the OBD2 interface of the diagnostic equipment. Via the 12-pin or 18-pin connector, the relevant signal lines, including the K-line or the CAN-BUS, routed to the correct pins of the 16-pin connector. This allows the device to communicate with the Immobiliser system of the motorcycle. The cable is designed for immobiliser work: key data reading, keys programmingand release the system. Which of these functions are actually available depends on the OBDSTAR device and its corresponding software version.\n
KEY FEATURES
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and capabilities
This connection provides access to the immobiliser system of Suzuki and Yamaha motorcycles.
Control modules you can reach
- Immobiliser control unit: The immobiliser system where key data and configuration are stored.
- Other systems: Whether additional modules are accessible alongside the immobiliser system depends on your device.
What you can do
- Read immobiliser data: Retrieve existing key data and immobiliser configuration via the 12-pin or 18-pin connector.
- Programme key: Pair a new or replacement key with the immobiliser system so the vehicle recognises it.
- Release immobiliser: Temporarily or permanently disable the immobiliser system, depending on your device's capabilities.
- Read PIN code: Extract the security code from the immobiliser system for key replacement or reinitialisation purposes.
- Important: Check vehicle coverage in your OBDSTAR device's software before you begin.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The 12- or 18-pin diagnostic connector is the determining factor, not the model. For these two manufacturers, no model-specific list with production years is available. Always verify vehicle coverage in the software of your OBDSTAR device.
