The OBDSTAR M025 is an adapter cable that connects an OBDSTAR reader or programmer to the 6-pin diagnostic port of Suzuki motorcycles equipped with a Euro-V engine. The cable features an OBD connector on one end compatible with the OBDSTAR diagnostic system, and a 6-pin Suzuki-specific plug (red) on the other end that connects to the vehicle’s factory diagnostic port. The cable enables switching between Dealer mode and the Mode switch function, features not accessible via the standard OBD2 port.
The 6-pin connector of Suzuki Euro-V motorcycles is not a universal J1962 port but a manufacturer-specific diagnostic interface. The M025 adapter cable converts this proprietary signal path into a format readable by the OBDSTAR system, allowing the device to access diagnostic functions at the engine control unit level. Through the Dealer/Mode Switch, specific diagnostic modes can be activated that are normally only accessible via Suzuki dealer equipment. The cable acts solely as a passive connection adapter without active electronics; signal processing takes place entirely in the connected OBDSTAR device.
