The cable is designed for diagnostic applications on motorboats and connects to outboard motors from brands such as Suzuki, Evinrude, Johnson, and Selva. The adapter cable is exclusively compatible with OBDSTAR readers or programmers and is part of OBDSTAR’s M-series cable range.

The cable connects the 8-pin diagnostic port on the outboard motor to the 16-pin OBD2 input of the connected OBDSTAR diagnostic device. This connection enables diagnostic functions such as reading fault codes on engines that do not have a standard OBD2 port.
