The OBDSTAR N052 is a conversion Adapter that converts a 6-pin Royal Enfield diagnostic plug to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. The Adapter is intended for use on Royal Enfield motorcycles equipped with a brand-specific 6-pin diagnostic port. Through this Adapter, OBDSTAR diagnostic equipment can be connected to the vehicle without requiring wiring modifications.
The Adapter translates the pin layout of the 6-pin Royal Enfield connector to the corresponding pins of the OBD2 interface, allowing communication via the relevant diagnostic protocols. The signal transmission occurs through the established contact points in both connectors. During use, the technician connects the 6-pin side to the motorcycle’s diagnostic plug and connects the OBD2 side to the reader, after which the device can access the vehicle system for diagnosis or programming.

Applications and functionalities
The N052 adapter supports the following applications in combination with compatible OBDSTAR equipment.
- Read fault codes: The adapter passes the diagnostic communication protocols of the Royal Enfield motorcycle to the OBDSTAR device, allowing stored and active fault codes in the engine management or other control units to be read.
- Clear fault codes: After diagnosis, fault codes in the connected control unit can be cleared via the connection, resetting the malfunction indicator.
- Display live data: The OBDSTAR device can retrieve and display real-time sensor data and driving parameters from the vehicle via the adapter during diagnosis.
- Key and immobilizer programming: Depending on the connected OBDSTAR device and supported software, the adapter can be used for immobilizer or key programming procedures on compatible Royal Enfield models.
