The OBDSTAR M064 is an adapter cable that converts a Mercury 2-pin and 4-pin OBD connection to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. The cable is intended for use with Mercury motorboat engines and enables diagnostic connections on vessels that do not have a standardized OBD2 port. The cable is exclusively compatible with OBDSTAR diagnostic devices and programmers.

The adapter cable connects the brand-specific Mercury diagnostic plug — available in both 2-pin and 4-pin versions — to the 16-pin OBD2 side of the connected OBDSTAR device. This connection transmits diagnostic protocols that make the engine systems of the outboard or inboard motor accessible for reading and diagnosis. The split cable setup with two separate connectors on the vehicle side allows selecting the correct connection depending on the port type on the engine unit.
