The OBDSTAR N019 is a Adapter that converts a KTM 6-pin diagnostic connector to a standard 16-pin OBD2 port (J1962). The adapter is designed for use on KTM Motorcycles equipped with a proprietary 6-pin diagnostic connector, enabling connection of an OBDSTAR reader or programmer to these vehicles. The housing consists of two parts: a compact 6-pin plug on the vehicle side and a 16-pin OBD2 socket on the device side.
The adapter translates the pin assignment and signal lines of the KTM-specific 6-pin connector to the corresponding pins of the J1962 standard, allowing communication via, among others, the K-line or CAN bus without signal degradation. During use, the adapter is connected directly to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector, after which the OBDSTAR diagnostic interface connects via the adapter’s OBD2 port to the motorcycle’s control units. The adapter adds no active electronics and does not process data independently — the signal transmission is entirely passive.

Applications and Features
The OBDSTAR N019 adapter supports the following diagnostic applications on KTM Motorcycles in combination with compatible OBDSTAR equipment.
- Reading fault codes: Stored and current fault codes (DTCs) are read from the motorcycle’s control units via the connected OBDSTAR interface.
- Clearing fault codes: After diagnosis or repair, confirmed fault codes can be cleared from the memory of the relevant control unit.
- Live data streaming: Current sensor values and driving parameters are read in real-time via the diagnostic connection for analysis of the engine system.
- Signal converter adaptation: The adapter passively converts the KTM 6-pin signal to the J1962 OBD2 format, allowing the OBDSTAR device to correctly interpret vehicle communication.

The compatibility below is based on the use of the KTM 6-pin diagnostic connector. Only vehicles with this specific connector are supported.
