The OBDSTAR Key SIM is a 5-in-1 key simulator for situations where all keys are lost. It emulates a working key, allowing the ignition to turn on so you can then use your OBDSTAR device to learn and programme a new smart key.
The Key SIM works alongside the Key Master DP Plus and the Key Master 5. It gathers 46- and 4D data, decrypts PIN codes for Porsche (2005-2010) and Hyundai and Kia, and simulates a range of DST40-, DST80- and DST-AES transponders from Toyota, Lexus and Subaru.

Applications and functionality
The Key SIM temporarily replaces the missing key. Once the ignition is turned on, your OBDSTAR device handles the rest.
What you can do with it
- Resolve all keys lost: Simulate a key so the ignition switch activates and you can proceed.
- Learn a new smart key: After opening the ignition, add and programme a new key.
- Collect 46- and 4D-data: Retrieve the transponder data needed for further key work.
- Decrypt PIN codes: For Porsche (2005-2010) and for Hyundai and Kia, derive the 46-PIN code.
Supported transponders
- Toyota DST-AES: 8A-H, 8A-A8, 8A-A9, 8A-39 and 8A-AA, both blade keys and smart keys.
- Toyota DST40 and DST80: The 94/D4 and 98 smart keys.
- Toyota 4A: Smart keys with 4A transponder.
- Subaru: DST-AES (8A-H) blade keys and DST80 (F1/78) smart keys.
What you need with it
The Key SIM does not work independently. Below is what you need.
- OBDSTAR Key Master DP Plus or Key Master 5: The device that learns and programmes the key. OBDSTAR names these two.
- Current software on the device: The simulation profiles, particularly the DST-AES variants, require a recent software version.
- The USB cable: Supplied; for updating and controlling the simulator.
If you are working on Toyota models with a smart key box, also consider the Toyota-30 V2 Kit: it uses the Key SIM for all keys lost scenarios.
