The OBDSTAR M039 is the adapter cable for the diagnostic connectors on Kawasaki jet skis. On the vehicle side, there are two separate connectors, designated Kawasaki 1 and Kawasaki 2, both with a 4+4-pin configuration in a square housing. On the device side, the cable connects to the IMMO port of your OBDSTAR diagnostic equipment.
A jet ski has no standard OBD2 connector; Kawasaki uses proprietary diagnostic ports that vary by vehicle model. Because the cable is constructed with two separate branches, each connector type plugs in independently to the correct port, eliminating the risk of incorrect pin assignment. The connectors feature a locking mechanism, which is essential during programming sessions that cannot be interrupted. The cable unlocks the IMMO system of the jet ski: key programming, calibration and key deletion. General OBD diagnostic functions fall outside the scope of this cable. Which IMMO operations you can subsequently perform depends on the coverage of your own device.

- Calibrate the IMMO system: Calibrate or reinitialise the immobiliser system when replacing control components.
- Clear keys: Remove previously programmed keys from the vehicle's IMMO memory.
- Note: Which of these operations are actually available varies by model and OBDSTAR device.
