The IScan Vespa update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for one year. The IScan is not a single device but a range, with each version dedicated to one make or one segment. This licence belongs to the IScan Vespa and maintains coverage of that specific device. What is included are new model years, expanded service functions and corrections in existing software.
The licence is tied to the serial number of your IScan Vespa, not to an account or a code. We activate it within one working day on your device's serial number. When the term expires, the IScan Vespa continues to work on the last installed version, but new software will no longer be added.

Two things on your IScan Vespa depend on the licence. The coverage determines which models the device recognises, and the function files determine what it can do with them.
What a renewal provides you with
- New model years: Models and model years of Vespa added after your last update become available within the existing diagnostic functions.
- Service functions: New and corrected procedures are included in the same updates.
- Corrections and improvements: Bug fixes and faster routines in the software itself are included.
What happens without renewal
- No addition: New coverage and new procedures will not reach the device.
- Online functions: Remote support and online functions may become limited or unavailable after expiry.
- No loss of function: What you do with the device today, you can still do after the licence expires.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated device there are four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.
- Serial number: We need the serial number of your IScan Vespa to link the licence; this is shown on the sticker on the rear of the device and in the settings menu.
- Register with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one business day.
- Connect the device: Switch on the device and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Update software: Update the software with one click from the device itself.
