The OBDSTAR N015A adapter is specifically designed for communication with Honda outboard motors equipped with a 4-pin diagnostic connector. This compact adapter directly connects the brand-specific diagnostic port of the engine vehicle to the 16-pin OBD2 connector of a compatible OBDSTAR diagnostic system.

The adapter converts signals from the Honda K-Line communication protocol to the correct pin assignment required for the OBDSTAR interface. The direct physical connection ensures stable data transfer, which is essential for functions such as reading fault codes and viewing live parameters. This adapter is exclusively developed for use with OBDSTAR diagnostic devices and is not suitable for universal OBD2 scanners.

Good to know: The diagnostic connector on Honda outboard motors is usually located under the hood, near the ECU or the fuse box. The connector is often capped with a red protective cover (dummy plug).
