The OBDSTAR N015A is a conversion Adapter that converts a Honda 4-pin OBD connection to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connection. The Adapter is specifically developed for use with Honda motorboat engines equipped with a 4-pin diagnostic connector instead of a modern OBD2 port. The Adapter is compact and consists of two separate plug components that connect to each other.
The N015A connects the 4-pin Honda diagnostic plug of the motorboat to the 16-pin OBD2 port of an OBDSTAR diagnostic device or programmer. Through this connection, the relevant diagnostic signal lines — including the K-line — are routed to the diagnostic cable, allowing communication with the engine control unit (ECU) of the boat engine. The Adapter itself does not perform signal processing but physically establishes the correct pin connections between both connector types.
