The OBDSTAR M053 is the adapter cable for Honda-specific 12-pin and 33-pin IMMO connectors on motorcycles and scooters. On the device side, the cable terminates in a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962)-connector, allowing you to connect the tool to the standard port.

Honda locates the immobiliser connector separately from the standard diagnostic port and uses two different connector formats for this purpose. Communication operates via the K-line protocol. The cable manages pin signal routing between those two connector types and the OBD2 side, ensuring the device receives the correct signals for key programming and system configuration. The cable provides access to the IMMO system only. Standard OBD2 diagnostic functions, such as reading fault codes or monitoring sensor values, are not supported through this connection. Your device must also have active software support for Honda IMMO applications on motorcycles.

  • Other systems: Not via this cable; the connector is reserved for IMMO operations.

Good to know: The Honda IMMO diagnostic connector (12+33-pin) is typically located beneath the seat or behind a cover panel, and therefore not at a fixed OBD location as found on passenger vehicles.
