The Odometer Reading software licence activates on your KeyMaster G3 the work on the mileage and service reset free. The device comes with the immobiliser functions; the other module groups are separate activations, and this is one of them.

The mileage reading is stored in a modern car not in one place. Except in the instrument cluster the value also lies in engine and body modules. After replacing a cluster, those readings will differ, and then you need a device that can handle all three read and adjust.

IMPORTANT NOTES

✕Valid for twelve months: After completion this module group is locked; the rest of the G3 continues to work normally.

✕Tied to one device: The licence is cannot be transferred to another device or a different owner.

OBDSTAR distributes the KeyMaster G3 into five module groups. The table below shows which vehicle group you unlock with this licence and what not included.

Group B — ODO Meter

This module group contains the functions for the mileage from passenger cars and motorcycles, plus the oil and service reset.

Replace cluster calibration: Having the value in a new or second-hand instrument cluster reset match with the rest of the vehicle.
Read and locate data: See which value is in which module, so you know what's there incorrect.
Service light reset: The service interval and reset the service reminder after servicing.
Also on two-wheelers: The mileage of motorcycles falls under the same module group.

What you'll need

Activation is carried out via your OBDSTAR account. Without the components listed below, you cannot use the module group not use.

An OBDSTAR KeyMaster G3: The licence unlocks a device that you already has and is not supplied separately.
A registered OBDSTAR account: It contains the activation registered that we prepare for you.
An internet connection: The device checks on startup which module groups are unlocked.
The serial number of your device: The twelve digits on the sticker on the back, in the menu system information and in your OBDSTAR account.

How does it work in practice?

From order to active module group there are four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.

Provide serial number: Enter the twelve-digit serial number of your KeyMaster G3 with your order; that is required.
We prepare it: We notify OBDSTAR of the activation, usually within one working day.
Email confirmation: You will hear from us once the module group on your serial number is shown.
Update device: Start the G3 with internet connection; the unlocked group will then appear in the menu.
