The OBDSTAR D700 update licence for configuration B extends your entitlement to software updates by one year. The D700 is a marine diagnostic reader from OBDSTAR. Configuration B is the version for outboard motors, covering Evinrude, Hidea, Honda, Johnson, Mariner, Mercury, Parsun, Selva, Seven, Suzuki, Tohatsu and Yamaha.
Which segment falls within range determines the activation on your serial number. This extension maintains the coverage and functions of configuration B. The licence is linked to the serial number of your device; we activate it within one working day. Once the term expires, the device will continue to work on the last installed version, but no new software will be added.

An active licence maintains the outboard motor coverage of your D700. Below is what an extension delivers and what stops without it.
What an extension gives you
- New models: Models and engine series from Evinrude, Hidea, Honda, Johnson, Mariner, Mercury, Parsun, Selva, Seven, Suzuki, Tohatsu and Yamaha that have been added since your last update.
- Diagnostic and service functions: Fault codes, live data, active tests, coding and calibrations are extended and corrected.
- Corrections and improvements: Error fixes and faster routines within the software itself are included.
What happens without an extension
- New software: No new versions will be added; coverage remains as it currently stands.
- Online services: OBDSTAR's online functions and remote assistance may be discontinued or limited.
- Existing work: Anything you do with the device today can still be done after the licence expires.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated device there are four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.
- Serial number: We need the serial number of your D700 to link the licence; it is on the sticker on the device and in the settings menu.
- Registration with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one working day.
- Connect the device: Switch on the device and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Update the software: Update the software with one click directly from the device.
