The OBDSTAR M007 converts the 6-pin Beta diagnostic connector to a standard 16-pin OBD2 interface (J1962). The 6-pin side connects to the diagnostic port of the Beta motorcycle; the OBD2 side to your OBDSTAR diagnostic device or programmer.
Beta uses a proprietary 6-pin connector instead of the automotive OBD2 socket. The cable translates that pin configuration to the corresponding contacts on the J1962-connector, ensuring signal lines — including the K-line and power supply lines — reach the device correctly. Through this connection, the device communicates with the engine management-ECU. Which read and programming functions work depends on your device's software support for the specific Beta model; the cable adds no additional functionality.
KEY BENEFITS
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and functionality
Via the 6-pin diagnostic port, you access the engine management ECU of the Beta.
Control units you can reach
- Engine management ECU: The control unit communicating through the 6-pin port.
- Other systems: The source lists no additional modules; what else responds depends on the specific model configuration.
What you can do
- Read fault codes: Retrieve stored and active diagnostic trouble codes from the ECU via the 6-pin port.
- Clear fault codes: Remove codes from engine management unit memory after diagnosis or repair.
- Request live data: View real-time information such as engine speed, temperature and riding signals.
- Perform ECU programming: Execute coding or programming tasks on supported Beta models.
- Note: Which functions work depends on the model and your OBDSTAR device's software.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The 6-pin Beta connector is the determining factor, not the model. The source confirms the cable for Beta motorcycles with this diagnostic port, but does not specify models with production years; consult your OBDSTAR device's compatibility list for this information.

- Motorcycles with 6-pin OBD diagnostic port: Consult your OBDSTAR device's compatibility list for confirmed models and production years.
