The OBDSTAR M046 is an adapter cable that converts a Benelli 4-pin OBD connection to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. The cable is intended for use with Benelli motorcycles and allows OBDSTAR diagnostic equipment to be connected to vehicles equipped with the brand-specific 4-pin diagnostic socket. The cable is designed for use in ABS diagnosis on compatible Benelli models.

The adapter cable connects the vehicle-side 4-pin Benelli OBD connector to the 16-pin OBD2 input of the connected OBDSTAR reader or programmer. Through this connection, the vehicle's diagnostic signals are transmitted to the device, allowing the ABS system to be read and checked. The cable conversion adds no extra electronics; it is a passive pin translation where the relevant signal lines from the 4-pin socket are mapped to the corresponding pin positions within the J1962 housing.
