The OBDSTAR T003 is a specialized Adapter Cable developed for diagnosing and testing the 48V Battery system and the DC/DC converter module in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The cable features a 15-pin DB15 connector (male) on one end that connects to the OBDSTAR diagnostic platform, and on the other end two separate connectors that connect directly to the vehicle’s 48V Battery pack and the DC/DC module respectively. The cable leads are clearly labeled "48V BATTERY" and "DCDC" to ensure error-free use during diagnosis.
The T003 enables a 48V battery power-on test via the OBDSTAR diagnostic platform. During the test, the cable transmits signals from the reading device to the respective modules, allowing the system to read and assess the voltage, status, and operation of the 48V battery and the DC/DC converter. Since the 48V components are not accessible through the standard OBD2 diagnostic port, this Adapter Cable acts as a direct connection bridge between the test equipment and the involved high-voltage components in the 48V onboard network.

The T003 Adapter Cable supports the following diagnostic functions for Mercedes-Benz 48V onboard systems via the OBDSTAR test platform.
- 48V battery power-on test: The cable controls the 48V battery to perform a power-on test cycle, checking the activation status and basic behavior of the battery system.
- DC/DC module diagnosis: The designated connector connects directly to the DC/DC converter module, allowing the OBDSTAR device to read the operation and status of the converter between the 48V and 12V onboard networks.
- Direct module access outside OBD2: The cable bypasses the standard OBD2 diagnostic port and enables physical connection to the 48V components for tests that cannot be performed via the regular diagnostic network.
