The OBDSTAR TCM-010 adapter cable is specifically designed for direct connection of OBDSTAR programming equipment to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) of Getrag VGS-FDCT and VGS2-FDCT automatic transmissions. The cable features a 15-pin DB15 connector on one end for interface connection and a brand-specific 12-pin TCM plug on the other. This physical connection is essential for bench operations requiring direct access to the transmission control unit in various Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti passenger cars.

The adapter facilitates stable signal transmission and uninterrupted power supply outside the vehicle, allowing the technician to safely perform memory manipulations. The internal pin configuration routes the necessary CAN-bus signals directly from the mechatronics to the diagnostic interface without interference from the surrounding vehicle network. This minimizes communication errors during reading, writing, or resetting EEPROM and flash data.

Good to know: For stable data transfer, it is essential to check that the pins on the mechatronics are completely free of transmission oil. Contamination increases resistance, which directly disrupts CAN-bus communication with the programmer.
