The OBDSTAR M000A is a 16-pin OBD2 extension cable with a length of 400 cm. The cable is designed to bridge the distance between the diagnostic device and the vehicle’s OBD2 connection, allowing the technician to work outside the interior during measurements, programming, or coding. One end of the cable features a male OBD2 plug that fits into the vehicle connection, and the other end has a female OBD2 connector to which the main cable of the diagnostic device is connected.

The extension cable passes all 16 pins of the OBD2 port one-to-one, allowing both the power lines and the communication buses (including CAN and K-line) to be connected without interruption. This ensures communication between the diagnostic device and the ECU remains intact, even when the device is placed several meters away from the vehicle. The cable is connected directly between the OBD2 port and the standard main cable of the OBDSTAR device and requires no additional configuration.

Bridge distance: Extends the connection between the vehicle and diagnostic device by 4 meters, allowing the device to be operated outside the cabin.
Signal pass-through: Passes all 16 pins of the OBD2 port one-to-one, so communication and power lines continue unchanged to the main cable.
Remote key programming: Allows the key to be kept at the diagnostic device during IMMO procedures while the vehicle remains connected.
ECU programming outside the vehicle: Provides enough reach to place a laptop or tablet with the diagnostic device at a stable workstation during flashing or coding work.

Good to know: Always place the M000A between the vehicle's OBD2 port and the original main cable of the diagnostic device, not between the main cable and the device itself. This keeps data transmission stable and prevents voltage drop on the communication lines.
