The OBDSTAR T002 is a 15-pin DB15 adapter cable specially developed for testing the 48V battery and the DCDC module in Audi vehicles with a 48V mild hybrid system. The cable features multiple connections, including crocodile clips for direct connection to the battery and specific plug connections that fit the connection points of the DCDC module. The adapter cable is only compatible with OBDSTAR readers or programmers from the test platform series.
The T002 enables performing a 48V battery activation test procedure, where the voltage from the 48V battery is supplied to the test system via the cable. The DCDC module — which in Audi mild hybrid systems converts the 48V voltage to 12V for the onboard network — can be connected and read via the corresponding connector. Due to fixed wiring and pre-mounted plugs, the technician does not need to place loose test probes, reducing the chance of incorrect connections during the test.
