The Mercedes SD Connect C4 – 16-pin OBD2 adapter cable is the standard diagnostic cable for use with the Mercedes-Benz SD Connect C4 multiplexer. This cable connects the C4 interface to the vehicle side via the OBD2 port and forms the critical physical and electronic link for communication with all vehicle modules.
The cable features a robust round locking connector on one end for connection to the C4 multiplexer, and a standard 16-pin OBD2 male plug on the other end. Thanks to the fully shielded wiring, a disturbance-free connection is guaranteed – essential for programming or SCN coding.
Application and functionality:
This cable is intended solely to connect the SD Connect C4 multiplexer to a vehicle. In combination with Mercedes diagnostic software (such as Xentry, DAS, Vediamo, or DTS Monaco), the system provides access to all electronic functions of the vehicle:
- Reading and clearing fault codes from all vehicle modules
- Displaying live data from sensors, actuators, and CAN values
- Performing actuator tests and controlling components
- Programming and coding ECUs (online and offline)
The cable supports all relevant communication protocols, including CAN bus, K-Line, and DoIP.
