The Mercedes SD Connect C4 – 14-pin OBD1 adapter cable is a specialized diagnostic adapter that makes it possible to connect older Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles with a 14-pin round diagnostic port to the modern SD Connect C4 multiplexer. The cable acts as a bridge between the vehicle side (OBD1) and the main OBD2 cable of the diagnostic hardware.
Thanks to the robust construction and correct pin translation, this adapter enables full communication with Xentry/DAS diagnostic software – including access to all present electronic control units. The cable is indispensable for workshops that still regularly service older Sprinter or Vito models.
Application and functionality:
This cable enables dealer-level diagnostics on vehicles with a 14-pin round diagnostic connector. In combination with the SD Connect C4 and Xentry/DAS, users can:
- Full system diagnosis: Scans of engine, ABS, airbag, transmission, etc.
- Read and clear fault codes: Both active and stored DTCs
- Monitor live data: View real-time sensor data and statuses
- Component tests and actuations: Test individual modules and actuators
The cable supports communication over K-Line, L-Line, and power lines, as required for older ECUs.
