Launch X-PROG3 | Key Programmer
The Launch X-PROG3 is a immobilizer and key programmer designed for reading and writing data from car keys, immobilizers, engine control units (ECU), and transmission control units (TCU). This device works in conjunction with the Launch X-431 series diagnostic testers and supports direct reading and writing of EEPROM, on-board MCU, and BMW CAS4+/FEM chips. The X-PROG3 is compatible with a wide range of vehicle brands, including Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.
The X-PROG3 offers functionalities for cloning ECUs, enabling component replacement without the need for online programming. The device supports a wide range of modules, including engine, transmission, instrument panel, and body control systems. Specific features include replacing or cloning VW/Audi MQB-platform ECUs, reading the BMW engine ISN code, and programming Mercedes-Benz infrared keys.
Application and functionality:
The X-PROG3 integrates multiple programming functions into one module for maintaining the vehicle's anti-theft system.
- Anti-theft system: Supports reading, writing, cloning, and replacing various anti-theft components.
- Key programming: Reads and writes data from car keys, generates special keys, and adds new keys, including in 'all keys lost' situations (All Keys Lost).
- ECU and TCU reading/writing: Reads and writes data from more than 1,200 ECU/MCU/EEPROM types without opening the casing via the BENCH and BOOT modes.
- ECU and TCU cloning: Supports cloning ECUs for various brands, including VW/Audi MQB platforms and BMW.
- Module replacement: Enables replacement of fourth and fifth generation VW/Audi engines, transmissions, and comfort modules (EZS, KESSY).
- BMW and Mercedes-Benz: Reads the BMW engine ISN code for key matching and supports programming BMW E/F/G chassis 8HP transmissions. Reads and writes data from Mercedes-Benz infrared keys.
- Password calculation: Calculates the password for the Mercedes-Benz key and can erase the password of the engine and transmission.
