The Launch X-431 EV Kit is a set of diagnostic accessories, developed for performing diagnostics on electric (EV) and hybrid (HEV) vehicles. This expansion set is compatible with the Launch X-431 EURO PRO5 and EURO TAB III diagnostic devices. The kit enables technicians to analyze the high-voltage battery and other specific components of a vehicle's electric system.
With the X-431 EV Kit, extensive battery pack analyses can be performed. The functionality includes reading the status of the entire battery pack, as well as individually analyzing the cells. The software supports reading and clearing fault codes, displaying live data, and diagnosing the engine, control unit, and other parts of the high-voltage system.
Application and functionality:
The kit offers a range of functions for diagnosing electric and hybrid vehicles from various brands, including Tesla, BMW, and Volkswagen. The main applications are:
- Battery pack diagnosis: Reading the overall condition of the high-voltage battery pack, including the state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH).
- Cell analysis: Individual reading of the voltage and temperature of each cell in the battery pack.
- System diagnosis: Reading and clearing fault codes (DTCs) for the Battery Management System (BMS), the engine control unit, and other high-voltage components.
- Live data: Display of real-time data from the high-voltage system for detailed analysis.
- Compatibility: The set comes with a wide range of adapters and connectors for various car brands.
