The Launch CRP919X update licence extends your right to software updates for the CRP919X by one year. What the device can do is determined by the software and not the hardware. The vehicle coverage, the service and reset functions and the coding files all come in through the update menu, and that menu only provides new versions while the licence is valid.
The licence is linked to the serial number of your CRP919X, not to an account or a code. We activate it within one working day on your device's serial number. If the term expires, the device remains fully functional for the models and functions already on it, but no new software will be added and the online functions lapse.

How does it work in practice?
The process takes four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.
- Serial number: We need the serial number of the CRP919X to link the licence; it is shown in the settings menu under device information and on the sticker on the back.
- Registration with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one working day.
- Prepare the device: Make sure there is power and a stable Wi-Fi connection before you start the download.
- Update the software: Select the available versions in the update menu and start the update.
