The license is specifically designed for commercial vehicles and ensures that vehicle coverage, diagnostic functions, and system definitions stay current. During this period, users can benefit from the newest features released by the manufacturer, meaning the device remains compatible with newer vehicle models and systems.
Activation is completed using an update card with a 12-digit activation code. After purchase, the code is delivered within 1 business day, after which the user logs into the scanner's software and manually enters the code in the update or license menu. Once the code is validated, updates become available and can be installed on the device. When the license period expires, the already-installed software continues to work, but new updates and additional vehicle coverage are blocked until a renewal is activated.

- Open the software: The customer starts the device and opens the corresponding Launch software or app.
- Enter the code: The customer navigates to the update or license menu and manually enters the activation code.
- Install updates: After successful activation, available updates become visible and can be installed on the device.
Serial Number Information
To activate your license, you may need the serial number of your diagnostic scanner. On the Launch CRP129 HD, you can find this in several locations.
- Back of the device: The serial number is printed on the sticker on the back, next to the barcode.
- Software information menu: You can view the serial number digitally through the settings or information menu on your device's screen.
- Startup screen: When you power on the device, the serial number may briefly appear in the system window.
