The Jaltest JDC223.9 connects a vehicle with a 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic connector to a Jaltest interface of the V9 generation in RP1210 configuration. On the vehicle side, there is a light grey trapezoidal OBD2 plug with a black contact block and sixteen brass contact pins. On the interface side, there is a light grey 26-pin DB26 connector with female contacts arranged in three rows and knurled screws on either side to secure the plug. Between them runs 150 cm of black round cable, with a white cable label bearing the RP1210 designation positioned just before the DB26 plug.
The official description is OBD (V9) diagnostic cable, RP1210. The cable provides the physical connection and nothing more: which control units you can access depends on the interface and the software you run on it. The difference from the sister cable JDC227.9 lies exclusively on the vehicle side. This JDC223.9 fits the rectangular 16-pin OBD2 connector—the JDC227.9 serves the round green 9-pin Deutsch connector. The interface side is identical on both cables: the same light grey 26-pin DB26 connector with knurled screws.
KEY FEATURES
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and functionality
The cable provides theswitchbetween thediagnostic connection in the vehicle and the interface.
What you can do
- Connection: Connects the vehicle's 16-pin OBD2 socket to the interface's 26-pin DB26 port.
- Securing: Two thumbscrews on the DB26 connector lock the connection to the interface.
- Cable routing: The 150 cm cable allows you to position the interface conveniently within reach whilst working.
Choosing between the JDC223.9 and the JDC227.9
- Rectangular 16-pin OBD2 socket: The JDC223.9, this cable.
- Round green 9-pin Deutsch connector: The JDC227.9, the sister cable.
- Interface side: Both cables feature the same 26-pin DB26 connector, RP1210 configuration, V9.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The vehicle connector type determines compatibility, not the manufacturer. Wherever a 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic socket is fitted and you are using a Jaltest interface of the V9 generation in RP1210 configuration this cable makes the connection. Which vehicles and control units you can subsequently read out is determined by the software running on the interface.
