The Jaltest JDC601A is the adapter cable connecting the 3-pin diagnostic connector of Yamaha jet skis to the 16-pin OBD2 port on your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the vehicle side, you'll find the manufacturer-specific 3-pin connector located in the engine compartment of the jet ski; on the interface side, there's the 16-pin OBD2 that connects the cable to the Jaltest Link.
The cable provides access to the diagnostic line for the ECM EFI, the engine electronic control system of the jet ski, and the RiDE SCU, the control unit for the braking and reverse system. Through the engine control module, Jaltest software reads fault codes and live data, controls components, and adjusts parameters; the RiDE SCU stores fault codes and calibration settings. Since no standardized diagnostic connector has ever been mandated for this segment, this connector remains in use on newer jet skis as well. The cable falls under Jaltest Marine.

Using this connection, you can access the control units of your Yamaha jet ski with Jaltest software.
Control units you can access
- ECM EFI — engine control: The engine electronic control system of the jet ski, including fault codes, measured values, component control, parameters and live data.
- RiDE SCU — braking and reverse system: The control unit of the RiDE operating system, with fault codes, calibration and live data.
What you can do
- Read fault codes: Access the fault memory of the engine control unit and RiDE SCU, with detailed descriptions of detected faults.
- View measured values: Monitor current sensor readings from the engine control unit — this function is not available on the RiDE SCU.
- Control components: Directly operate actuators in the engine control system.
- Adjust parameters: Configure engine control settings.
- Calibration: Available only on the RiDE SCU, the braking and reverse system control unit.
- Monitor live data: Track values from both control units in real time.

The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable works with any Yamaha jet ski equipped with the 3-pin diagnostic connector. Jaltest Marine covers the series listed below; check which connector your vessel has on-site.
