The Jaltest JDC508A is the adapter between the 5-pin diagnostic connector of the New Holland TN Series and the standard 16-pin OBD2-interface of the Jaltest Link. On the vehicle side, you'll find the 5-pin connector, which you connect to the diagnostic port in the cab; on the interface side, there's the 16-pin OBD2 inlet for your Jaltest diagnostic cable. Derived from the TN Case IH JX Series uses the same connection.
Behind this single connector are the three electronic control units of the TN and JX series: MA for the transmission, MB/EDC for the lifting mechanism and NA/4WD for the drivetrain. On these three units, Jaltest offers full functionality, including service intervals, diagnostic alerts, and additional actions; an engine control unit is not included, as these tractors have mechanically regulated engines. Agricultural vehicles are not subject to mandatory OBD requirements, which is why this connector remains in use alongside other proprietary connections. The cable falls under Jaltest AGV (agricultural vehicles).
