The Jaltest JDC219A connects the proprietary 20-pin diagnostic connector of Isuzu vehicles to the 16-pin OBD2 port on your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the vehicle side, a wide black connector housing with a ribbed grip accommodates a cream-coloured pin holder featuring two rows of gold-plated pins; several positions within the pin field remain empty. On the interface side, the OBD2 connector sits in a flat rectangular housing rather than the conventional tapered connector head, and the cable measures 28 to 30 cm.
Once connected, the Jaltest software accesses the control units behind this connector: read and clear fault codes, view live data, and perform the tests, calibrations and maintenance procedures that the system permits. Which control units a vehicle carries varies by model, engine specification and year of manufacture; there is no fixed list applicable to every Isuzu. The cable is compatible with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under the Jaltest CV module.

- Engine control and braking system on the 3-pin versions: Jaltest covers Electronic Diesel Control by engine code and ABS/ASR Hydraulic; for that connector, JDC218A is the correct cable.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory of the control unit, with descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: Current values from the sensors connected to the control unit, displayed as figures and graphs.
- Activate components: Directly trigger components to determine whether the fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring.
- Configure parameters: Write configurations and settings to the control unit.
- Perform calibrations: For systems where Jaltest offers a calibration procedure, for example after replacing a component.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type is what matters, not the model. This cable is for the 20-pin diagnostic connector of Isuzu: A wide black connector with a cream-coloured connector body and two rows of pins. Isuzu used this connection type before the standardised 16-pin OBD2-connector became mandatory for commercial vehicles at the Euro IV transition. Check which connector is fitted in your cab first.
Isuzu:
- Isuzu commercial vehicles with the 20-pin diagnostic connector: The wide black connector shell with cream-coloured body and two rows of pins.
- Production years up to the Euro IV transition: Type approval October 2005, all registrations from October 2006 onwards; after this date, the 16-pin OBD2 connector is fitted to the commercial vehicle.
- The 3-pin version is not included: For that, JDC218A is the correct cable.
