The Jaltest JDC100B is the extension cable that connects the 26-pin DB26 port of the Jaltest Link V9 to the vehicle-specific diagnostic cable. On the interface end sits a black female DB26-connector with three rows of contacts and two threaded pins; on the cable end sits a right-angled black male DB26-plug with a chrome-plated frame and two cross-head screws. Between them runs 250 cm of black round cable. Just near the interface end, a short lead branches off to a black jack socket, which allows the Link to be powered externally.
This extension lead provides 250 cm of additional working space, allowing you to work at a distance from the diagnostic port — from inside the cab, beside the machine or aboard a vessel — and makes a number of Jaltest diagnostic cables compatible with the Link V9. Via the jack socket, the interface receives power when the diagnostic port itself carries no voltage. The only difference from the sister cable JDC100 is the length: that cable measures 100 cm and otherwise has the same two DB26 connectors and the same jack socket in the same location. The extension cable is supplied with the Jaltest Link V9 itself and is compatible with all Jaltest modules (CV, AGV, OHW, MHE, Marine and GSE).

Control units you can access
- No dedicated control units: The extension cable itself establishes no connection to any control unit in the vehicle.
- The control units of the connected diagnostic cable: Which ones are available depends on the vehicle-specific cable you connect behind it.
What you can do
- Extension: Adds 250 cm of cable length between the Jaltest Link V9 and the diagnostic cable.
- Connection: Some Jaltest diagnostic cables can only be connected to the Link V9 via a DB26 extension cable.
- External power supply: The Jaltest Link can be powered via the jack connector when the diagnostic connection does not provide power.
Difference from the JDC100
- Length: The JDC100B measures 250 cm, the JDC100 measures 100 cm.
- Connectors: Identical on both cables: A female DB26 on the interface side and a right-angle male DB26 on the cable side.
- Jack connector: Present on both cables, in the same location on the interface side.
