The Jaltest 74502012 is the software licence for Marine Vessel, Jaltest diagnostics for inboard engines, outboard engines and jet skis. Whilst the software activation (74502002) is the module alone, this product includes the first year of use as standard. You purchase one item and receive twelve months of access.
The included year of use begins as soon as we activate the module and runs for twelve months. During this period you receive the three software versions that Jaltest releases annually. After that, you renew with the update licence (74602002). To carry out diagnostics you will need the Jaltest Link.

Applications and functionality
Marine Vessel is Jaltest diagnostics for inboard engines, outboard engines and jet skis. With this licence, that module is available to you from day one. What you do with it next depends on the engine and the connection you use.
What you can do with it
- Systems and fault codes: The software recognises the control units present and reads out the fault codes, with their descriptions.
- Live measurements: Engine speed, pressure, temperature and other parameters whilst the engine is running.
- Actuation: Direct actuation of components to verify they respond.
- Calibrations and settings: The calibrations and parameter settings that Jaltest offers per system.
- Symptom-based fault finding: Guided search paths that start from the complaint rather than the fault code.
- Technical information: Releases, procedures and manual diagnostics for the systems you access.
- Expert mode: Select a control unit manually when automatic selection is not suitable.

The three variants
With Marine Vessel there are three options with identical coverage. The difference lies in what you purchase – a one-time purchase, the first year of use included, or a renewal – not in what you can do with it.

What you need
To diagnose with Marine Vessel, you need more than this product. Below is the complete setup.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- The module itself (74502012): This product. You purchase the module with the first year of use included.
- Adaptor cables (optional): Marine vessel cable kit (70002008) and Marine jet ski cable kit (29985). If you don't have these, you can connect using the multipin set included in your Jaltest case.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working module there are four steps. The serial number of your Jaltest Link is all you need to find yourself.
- Provide the serial number: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when you place your order; this is required.
- We activate: We bind the module to that serial number, typically within one working day of your order.
- Confirmation by email: You will hear from us as soon as the module is on your serial number.
- Update software: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and retrieve the module; Marine Vessel will then appear in the start menu.
