The Jaltest 74001012 is the software license for Jaltest Multi-Purpose Vehicle, the diagnostic module for vehicles with combined applications. The license runs for twelve months and gives you the right to use the Multi-Purpose Vehicle module during that period. You'll need the software activation (29348) to go with it: you purchase this once and it remains valid indefinitely. We link the license to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
For twelve monthsyou work with the complete Multi-Purpose Vehicle module and receive all new software versions that Jaltest releases during that period, including the vehicles, systems and features added that year. This is what sets it apart from the activation, which by itself unlocks nothing. If you purchase an additional module while this license is active, the new license is synchronized with your existing one: You pay only the remaining days until the expiration date, calculated on a pro-rata basis, so all your modules expire on the same date. After these twelve months, you continue with the update license (29349).

Applications and Features
This license gives you twelve months of usage rights to Jaltest Multi-Purpose Vehicle, the module for vehicles with combined applications. What you can do with it in the workshop depends on the vehicle and the cable you use.
What the Multi-Purpose Vehicle module covers
- Multi-purpose vehicles: Vehicles with multiple purposes and combined applications that do not fall completely within one of the CV, OHW, AGV or MHE segments.
- Mercedes-Benz/MTU and Iveco: Engine control units, via cables JDC203A and JDC206A.
- Kubota: Engine control units, via cable JDC523A.
- FPT engines: The 19-pin connector, via cable JDC526A.
What you can do
- System scan: Display all available control units and identify where faults are present.
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory per control unit, with fault descriptions.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor values and monitor them in real-time while operating or working.
- Component Actuation: Activate actuators individually to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring connected to it.
- Parameters and Calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system, for example after replacing a component.
- Maintenance Resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
- Expert Mode: Manually select a control unit when automatic selection doesn't work.
What You'll Need
Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics. This annual license is one of them; the complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on a PC.
- Software Activation (29348): One-time purchase, remains valid indefinitely. The license won't function without this activation.
- Software License Year One (74001012): This product. Twelve months of coverage.
- Update License (29349): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic Cables: The Multi-Purpose cable set (70002005) with JDC203A, JDC206A, JDC217.9, JDC523A and JDC526A, or individual cables by manufacturer.
Under the license terms, Multi-Purpose Vehicle is grouped with Jaltest OHW (29308), the module for off-highway equipment. If you also service commercial vehicles, there's Jaltest CV (29303). These modules are purchased separately and each requires its own license.
