The Jaltest 29701 is the update license for Jaltest ETM, the Electronic Test Module that lets you test electronic components outside the vehicle. This extends your current ETM license by twelve months. We link the renewal to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
With the renewal, you maintain access to new software versions, including the components and test procedures added that year. The ETM license runs in sync with your Jaltest software license expiration date: Once that license expires, the ETM stops working and the module becomes locked. The ETM cannot be purchased separately and works only with a CV or Modular license; it's not available for Jaltest handhelds.

Jaltest ETM is the module that lets you test electronic components outside the vehicle. This update license keeps that module active; what you do with it next depends on the component and ETM hardware you're using.
What the ETM module covers
- EBS modulators: The brake modulators you want to evaluate separately from the vehicle.
- Wheel speed sensors: The ABS and EBS sensors.
- Brake wear indicators: The wear sensors in the brake system.
- Integration with the software: Only with an active CV or Modular license; not with Jaltest handhelds.
What you can do
- Test components: Measure individual electronic parts outside the vehicle.
- Guided test procedures: Connect and test step-by-step following the software instructions.
- Assess results: See directly whether a component is functioning correctly.
- New component coverage: Work with components included in the new software versions.
What you'll need
This update license is a renewal within a fixed chain. The complete setup is outlined below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also necessary to launch the software on a PC.
- Active Jaltest software license: A CV or Modular license. The ETM only works while that license is active and expires on the same date.
- ETM hardware: The physical test module. A separate purchase, not included.
- Update license (29701): This product. Twelve months of renewal.
The ETM cannot be purchased separately and is not available for the Jaltest handhelds. For wiring diagrams and guided repair procedures, there is INFO Plus. That module is purchased separately.
