The GoDiag BMW CAS1/CAS2 is a specialized test platform accessory designed for vehicle technicians and diagnostic technicians. This system allows BMW CAS1 and CAS2 modules to be safely connected on the workbench for diagnosis, data management, and key programming. The platform supports only immobilizer systems that use a mechanical key. By creating a physical connection between the CAS module, the key, and external diagnostic or programming equipment, technicians can read or write critical system data and verify IMMO synchronization without the vehicle being present.
During use, this system acts as an interface between the key programming tool and the disassembled vehicle module. The main module features an integrated key contact and an external start/stop switch that physically simulates the car's ignition process. Through various LED indicators for power, key induction, and immobilizer status, the user receives immediate visual feedback. This makes it possible to directly validate whether a newly learned key is correctly synchronized with the EEPROM data of the CAS module, preventing errors before the parts are reinstalled in the vehicle.

The GoDiag CAS1/CAS2 test platform is developed for specific diagnostic and programming procedures related to the immobilizer. The following functionalities can be performed in combination with suitable programming hardware:
- Key programming: Supports learning new mechanical keys for CAS1 and CAS2, including procedures for additional keys or when all keys are lost (All Keys Lost).
- CAS and key synchronization detection: Checks via the built-in IMMO indicator whether the inserted key is correctly recognized and synchronized with the control module.
- Read and write module data: Allows safe reading, saving, and rewriting of EEPROM and flash data from the CAS module without soldering.
- Simulate vehicle ignition lock operation: Tests the CAS module’s response to start/stop commands as if physically installed in the steering column.
- Workbench test functionality: Identifies whether a disassembled CAS module is actually defective or still functioning properly before replacement.
Special features and capabilities
The hardware is designed to simplify the technician’s workflow by adding visual aids and direct control. This includes:
- Real-time LED status display: Equipped with specific indicator lights for power (POW), key recognition (INDUC), immobilizer status (IMMO), and start signal (START).
- External Start/Stop switch: Equipped with a circuit board including a push button specifically designed for manually activating the simulation process on CAS2 modules.
- Integrated key port: Features a robust opening on the main interface to place the mechanical key or programming coil for direct inductive measurements.
