Foxwell NT200E | Error Code Reader | Car
The Foxwell NT200E is a fault code reader designed to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) via the OBDII/EOBD port of a vehicle. This device is compatible with passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, SUVs, and minivans from model year 1996 that are OBDII-compliant. The NT200E enables displaying live data from sensors, viewing freeze frame data, and checking the I/M readiness status. The results are presented on a clear, backlit monochrome screen.
This fault code reader is a plug-and-play device that draws its power directly from the vehicle's diagnostic port, eliminating the need for external batteries. The NT200E displays fault code definitions directly on the screen, allowing quick interpretation of issues. Additionally, the device can retrieve vehicle information such as the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), CID, and CVN. Through the included USB cable, lifetime free software updates can be installed to keep functionality and vehicle coverage up to date.
Application and functionality:
The Foxwell NT200E offers various diagnostic functions for the engine management system:
- Read and clear fault codes: Identifies and clears generic (P0, P2, P3, U0) and manufacturer-specific (P1, P3, U1) engine fault codes. The device can turn off the Check Engine light (MIL).
- Live data display: Shows a full stream of live sensor data from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) in real-time, such as engine speed, coolant temperature, and fuel system status.
- Freeze frame data: Shows a snapshot of the vehicle's operating conditions at the moment an emission-related fault was detected.
- I/M readiness status: Checks whether the vehicle's various emission-related systems are functioning correctly and are ready for an inspection, such as an MOT test.
- Retrieve vehicle information: Reads the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Calibration ID (CID), and Calibration Verification Number (CVN).
- DTC definitions: Displays the definitions of detected fault codes directly on the screen, speeding up diagnosis.
