The Foxwell I80 II is a professional reader device for passenger
In addition to the standard diagnostic functions, the Foxwell I80 II has more than 40 service and maintenance functions, such as resetting the oil service, DPF regeneration, and EPB service. The platform also supports ECU coding and provides access to technical documentation. Functions such as remote control for technical support and extensive data management for storing and sharing diagnostic reports are integrated.
Diagnostic functions:
The Foxwell I80 II performs a full system diagnosis and provides access to all electronic control units of the vehicle.
- Read and clear fault codes: Reads and clears Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) from all present vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, and body electronics.
- Live data functions: Displays real-time data streams from sensors and components. Data can be shown in text or graph format, with the ability to combine multiple graphs for analysis.
- Actuator control: Performs bi-directional tests to control components such as relays, injectors, and actuators and check their operation.
- OBFCM (On-Board Fuel Consumption Monitoring): Enables reading the fuel consumption of the vehicle and forwarding the data to the RDW for the APK inspection.
Service and maintenance functions:
The system supports more than 40 service and maintenance functions. The availability of specific functions may vary by vehicle brand, model, and year.
Engine and drivetrain:
- Reset oil service interval: Resets the service interval and oil change indicator after maintenance.
- Learn throttle body: Resets the adaptation values of the throttle body after cleaning or replacement.
- Code injectors: Programs the new injector codes into the control unit after injector replacement.
- Adjust air/fuel ratio: Adjusts the air-fuel ratio (A/F) for optimal engine performance.
- Reset EGR valve: Relearns the exhaust gas recirculation valve (EGR) after cleaning or replacement.
- Transmission adaptation: Resets the adaptive learning values of the automatic transmission.
- Learn gearbox: Performs a learning procedure for the gearbox to optimize shift points.
- Reset transmission oil life (TCMOIL): Resets the transmission oil life indicator.
- Learn clutch: Calibrates the clutch engagement point in systems with an automated transmission.
- Initialize continuously variable transmission (CVT): Resets the settings of the CVT control unit.
- Learn turbo: Calibrates the turbo or actuator after replacement.
- Cylinder balance test: Tests the relative contribution of each cylinder to engine power.
- Bleed fuel system: Bleeds the fuel system, often after replacing the fuel filter.
- Fuel pressure test: Checks the pressure in the fuel system.
- Bleed cooling system: Activates the water pump to fill and bleed the cooling system.
- Calibrate odometer: Adjusts the odometer reading on the instrument panel (for correction purposes only).
Exhaust systems:
- Diesel particulate filter regeneration (DPF): Starts a forced regeneration of the diesel particulate filter to remove soot buildup.
- Gasoline particulate filter regeneration (GPF): Starts a forced regeneration of the gasoline particulate filter.
- Reset NOx sensor: Resets the learned values of the NOx sensor after replacement.
- EVAP system test: Performs a leak test on the fuel vapor emission system.
- Oxygen sensor test: Checks the operation of the oxygen sensors.
