Diagnostic functions:
The Foxwell I70TS II supports diagnosis for all electronic control units in the vehicle. This makes the device suitable for universal use in any workshop.
- ECU information: Reads data such as software version, part number, calibration ID, and serial number per module. Important for updates, replacement, or vehicle identification.
- Read fault codes: Shows stored, active, and temporary fault codes per system. Also supports brand- and model-specific fault code descriptions (DTCs).
- Clear fault codes: Removes fault codes from the ECU after repair or maintenance. The fault status can then be rechecked.
- Live data: Displays real-time sensor data in graph or table form. Supports simultaneous monitoring and comparison of multiple parameters.
- Active tests: Provides direct control of components such as injectors, EGR valves, fuel pumps, cooling fans, or valves for testing purposes.
- Special functions: Supports brand-specific learning and adjustment procedures, such as diesel particulate filter regeneration, EGR reset, NOx sensor initialization, and airbag module adjustments.
TPMS functions:
The TPMS module offers full functionality for reading, programming and relearning of tire pressure sensors. Suitable for both original and universal sensors.
- TPMS system diagnosis: Reads fault codes and status information from all wheel sensors.
- TPMS sensor activation: Activates original or universal sensors via RF signal or magnetic activation.
- Sensor programming: Programs blank or replacement sensors with correct ID and vehicle protocol.
- Relearn function: Teaches programmed sensor IDs to the ECU via OBD or automatic methods.
- Live sensor data reading: Displays current tire pressure, temperature, and battery status of each sensor.
- Key and remote control test: Checks the signal and operation of key transmitters (FOB test).
Maintenance and service functions:
The Foxwell i70TS II supports more than 35 maintenance and service functions, enabling extensive maintenance procedures to be performed efficiently and professionally. The availability of specific functions depends on vehicle make, model, and year. The list below provides an overview of the most commonly used functions:
- Service interval reset: Resets the maintenance interval after an oil change or inspection, so the onboard computer displays correct maintenance messages.
- Electronic parking brake (EPB): Puts the parking brake in service mode for brake pad replacement or brake maintenance.
- Battery registration (BMS): Registers a new battery in vehicles with battery management system for correct charging control.
- ABS brake bleeding: Activates the ABS module to remove air from the hydraulic brake system during bleeding.
- Diesel particulate filter regeneration (DPF): Initiates a forced regeneration of the particulate filter to clear blockages.
- EGR system reset: Performs a reset of the exhaust gas recirculation system after cleaning or replacement.
- Injector coding: Codes new or refurbished fuel injectors for optimal fuel injection.
- Throttle body calibration: Calibrates the electronic throttle body for stable idle and throttle response.
- Turbo adjustment: Restores turbo pressure control after replacement or maintenance of the turbo.
- Transmission adaptation (automatic/CVT): Calibrates automatic or CVT transmission systems after maintenance or software update.
- Steering angle sensor calibration (SAS): Calibrates the steering angle sensor after alignment or replacement of steering components.
- Adaptive headlights (AFS): Resets adaptive or automatic lighting for correct operation.
- AdBlue system reset: Resets the AdBlue system after refilling or repairing emission-related components.
- Crankshaft position sensor learning: Performs a learning procedure for the crankshaft sensor after replacing ECU, flywheel, or sensor.
Cloud and reporting features:
The device uses cloud synchronization for storing, sharing and managing diagnostic reports, including vehicle history and PDF export.
- Cloud reporting: Diagnostic reports are automatically saved in the cloud and available from any linked device.
- Direct report sharing: Share pre-scan and post-scan reports via email, QR code, or download link — without a PC.
- Synchronize vehicle history: All vehicle data and diagnostic history are stored and accessible via multiple devices within the same account.
- PDF export: Create professional reports in PDF format and save them locally or in the cloud.
- Real-time synchronization: As soon as WiFi is available, all reports and data are automatically uploaded to the cloud.
- Remote management: Workshop managers can monitor diagnostic progress and vehicle status via a linked online account.
Additional features:
The I70TS II offers various features to support workshop management, such as pre-scan/post-scan reports, live data analysis, fault code explanation and maintenance planning.
- Pre-scan and post-scan reporting: Document fault codes before and after maintenance for transparent customer communication.
- Live data graph comparison: Analyze multiple sensors simultaneously in one graph for quick fault detection.
- Car VIN recognition: Speeds up vehicle selection by automatically reading the chassis number.
- Smart vehicle memory: Recognizes previously scanned vehicles and automatically loads corresponding settings and history.
- Set maintenance schedules: Set service tasks and maintenance intervals per vehicle based on time or kilometers (if supported).
- Fault code explanation and solutions: Provides direct technical explanation for DTCs with suggestions for cause and repair.
- Color coding per module: Displays fault status per system in green, yellow, or red for quick overview.
- File management and screenshots: Save reports, data, and graphs as images and manage them in internal memory.
Special communication protocols:
The Foxwell I70TS II supports modern protocols such as CAN FD and DoIP, essential for communication with vehicles from model year 2018 and systems with high-speed data networks.
- CAN FD: Support for the faster Controller Area Network Flexible Data-rate (CAN FD) protocol enables communication with vehicles using modern high-speed CAN networks. This is especially relevant for models from model year 2018 and newer.
-
DoIP: Diagnostics over Internet Protocol (DoIP) enables the Diagnostic Tool to communicate with the vehicle via Ethernet. This is necessary for manufacturers such as BMW (F- and G-series), Mercedes-Benz (NTG 6), Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover, where traditional OBD communication is no longer sufficient.
