The FCA 12+8-pin SGW Adapter Cable connects the internal wiring of the Security Gateway Module (SGW) in vehicles from the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group to a standard 16-pin OBD2 interface. This Adapter features a male 12-pin and a male 8-pin connector on the vehicle side, which connect directly to the vehicle's contrast connectors, replacing the connection to the security module.

This cable allows the physical bypass of the SGW security, enabling direct communication with the vehicle's CAN bus networks. This grants the diagnostic equipment the necessary write permissions for advanced functions such as clearing fault codes, performing actuator tests, and recalibrating systems, which are often blocked via the standard diagnostic port on models from 2018 onwards.
