The Autool AS506 is a brake fluid tester that measures the boiling point of various types of brake fluid. The tester uses heat detection technology to determine both the dry and wet boiling points, establishing the quality and presence of water in the fluid. The results are displayed on an OLED display and the device operates on a 12V vehicle battery.
This brake fluid tester features two test modes: a "Normal mode" for general brake fluid types and a "Brand mode" for specific brands. The test procedure takes 16 seconds. The device is compatible with a wide range of brake fluids, including DOT3, DOT4, DOT4+, DOT4ESP, DOT5, DOT5.1, DOT5.1ESP, ENV4, and ENV6. A built-in overheat protection safeguards the internal components during testing.
Application and functionality:
The tester is designed to determine the condition of brake fluid by measuring the boiling point. This provides an indication of the water content and the need for replacement.
- Boiling point measurement: The device measures the dry boiling point (for new fluid) and the wet boiling point (for fluid in use) to assess quality.
- Dual test mode: The tester offers a "Normal mode" for testing generic DOT types and a "Brand mode" for specific brake fluid brands.
- Wide compatibility: Supports testing of 9 different types of brake fluid and 14 specific brands, including ATE, Bosch, Brembo, Changcheng, Delphi, Ferodo, Fuchs, Kunlun, Mobil, Monarch, Motul, Textar, Total, and TRW.
- Fast detection: The full test cycle is completed within 16 seconds, after which the result is immediately displayed on the screen.
- OLED display: The bright screen shows the selected mode, temperature, boiling point result, and battery voltage.
- Overheat protection: A built-in feature prevents damage to the tester from excessive heat during the testing process.
