The Autel PowerScan PS100 is an electrical circuit tester for vehicles that works on all electrical systems from 6 to 30 Volts. The device is designed for diagnosing wiring problems, switches, fuses, lamps, and trailer lighting. The tester features a TFT color display with 160x128 dpi, a built-in flashlight for working in dark areas, and an audio tone indication that makes results audible without visual contact with the screen.
After connecting the test probes to the vehicle battery, voltage, current, and resistance can be read directly via the test point. By operating the switch, a positive or negative battery current can be sent to the test point, allowing electrical components such as cooling fans and relays to be activated directly without jumper wires. The built-in oscilloscope function displays signal patterns from camshaft, crankshaft, and injector sensors, among others. An internal circuit protection switches off the output in case of overload and can be reset via a reset button. The included 20ft extension cable makes it possible to measure along the entire vehicle length without having to find a suitable ground point each time.

- Continuity test: Continuously checks the continuity of switches, relays, and diodes using the built-in ground cable.
- Component activation: Switches electrical components such as cooling fans and relays via the test point by supplying positive or negative battery current.
- Trailer lighting testing: Checks operation of tow hitch wiring and trailer lights via the long cable without disassembly.
- Detecting poor ground contacts: Identifies increased contact resistance in ground connections without performing voltage drop tests.
- Short circuit tracing: Locates short circuits along the entire vehicle length without sacrificing fuses during the search process.
- Current, voltage, and resistance measurement: Reads values via the test point for diagnosing wiring, power supplies, and components up to 200 KΩ.
